THE SITUATION: For more than 150 years, CNX has been at the forefront of Appalachia’s energy and economic revolution. From producing the energy that powers daily life, to providing sustainable fuel for mass transit, cargo, passenger vehicles, and other business purposes – CNX believes they have an important role to play in a clean energy future. 

THE SOLUTION: Comprehensive benchmarking and competitive analysis helped CNX identify opportunities for improved sustainability reporting and disclosure. A gap analysis evaluated the quality and completeness of the company’s previous sustainability reports against common frameworks (SASB, GRI, TCFD) as well as industry-specific frameworks and disclosures (IPIECA, Disclosing the Facts, American Exploration & Production Council). The resulting recommendations helped to strengthen CNX reporting and disclosure, increase transparency on material issues and reinforce the credibility of the company’s sustainability claims.
