CDP Scoring & Gap Analysis

Strengthening sustainability disclosures and spotlighting opportunities for organizational advancement via CDP survey scoring and analysis.

THE BRANDS: Hallmark, Fruit of the Loom

THE SITUATION: Responding to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) questionnaire is no small task — as anyone who has completed the survey can attest. Whether companies choose to disclose voluntarily, or do so in response to requests from customers or investors, ensuring completeness and accuracy of your response can go a long way towards improving CDP scoring. Yet many organizations lack a basic understanding of how the survey is scored, how to improve their letter grade, and how to strengthen their disclosures year-over-year.

THE SOLUTION: Using a combination of CDP-published scoring guidance and some proprietary tools, calculating the estimated score of a given CDP survey response becomes a fairly straightforward exercise. The process surfaces reporting gaps, identifies areas for near- and long-term improvements, and can inform the development of sustainability roadmaps for organizations intent on improving sustainability performance.
